Job Summary
Research Assistants work collaboratively with the EVITARUS team to develop, support, and facilitate market and opinion research, including executing tasks related to research design, implementation, research deliverables, reporting, and other aspects of the research process.
Under the direction of senior researchers, and utilizing an interdisciplinary skill set, deliver timely support and deliverables for research, including:
- Stay abreast of, and write briefing memos and literature reviews, on pertinent political, business, and public policy issues, and changes in the local, state, federal, and international political and economic landscapes.
- Work collaboratively with all Staff to facilitate, assist, and support, as needed, research projects, including development of research instruments, memos, spreadsheets, presentations, documents, and logistics execution for research projects.
- Review, transcribe, and take notes for live and recorded meetings, webinars, and research.
- Program and test research instruments, including survey applications.
- Observe and monitor data collection and assist with data programming and processing, analysis, and reporting.
- Develop presentations and data visualizations to summarize opinion data.
- Create crosstabulations of survey data.
- Draft key findings memorandums and reports.
- Assist Research Staff.

Required Education and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Political Science, Public Policy, or Sociology.
- Coursework or experience in research methods, statistics, and/or data analysis.
- Familiarity with R, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Office 365 tools.
- Experience working with survey applications is desirable.
- 0-3 years of work experience post-graduation.
- Prior internship or summer work experience in public opinion or market research, political campaigns, public relations, political communications, or a related field is desirable.
Work Environment
The Company also maintains a collaborative, connected, and professional workplace. At this time, work is conducted in-person and remotely, utilizing synchronous and asynchronous in-person and online tasks and activities, communication, and other forms of engagement. The work environment is fast-paced, fluid, and challenging. The following are required:
- Engage in work utilizing computer and telephone for extended periods of time.
- Participate in synchronous and asynchronous in-person and online meetings, communication, and work.
- The Company hosts in-person staff gatherings, and work travel may be required. As such, proof of COVID vaccination is required for our employees.
- Work evening and weekend hours, as needed, based upon Company needs and project workflow.
